Tuesday 23: The free session

This was our first optional session for students and the outcome was interesting. We got a lot of learning out the session for things to change in the future. Students clustered (no pun intended) around three areas. 1. The Hoggers: these guys knew what they wanted, were they were stuck and got a lot of one to one time on the technical issues of Java and eclipse they were finding hard to internalise. We had a first long Saturday session (20th October). “picture of students in deep concentration at our second session while creating their very first App using explicit and implicit intents”. Thanks to Abu and Shamim at Tower Hamlets Community Housing for enabling the first Android Unit to take place at the Tarling Community Centre at Shadwell Thursday 18 October 2012 5pm till late!
